Cashew Cream
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup raw cashews
- 1/2 cup water
- pinch salt, optional
Method
- Bring a small pot of water to boil, add the cashews, then cover and let cook for 20 minutes.
- Strain the boiled cashews.
- Using either an immersion or tabletop blender, puree cashews, water, and salt until very, very smooth.
Notes
- We have a KitchenAid immersion blender I use all the time, that ran me about $40 on sale. There are less expensive options though (check this Hamilton Beach out), and I would choose it over a countertop blender any day.
