Ingredients

  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 3 cups fresh basil, loosely packed
  • 1/2 cup walnuts (or pepitas)
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp nutritional yeast flakes
  • 1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Method

  1. Place garlic cloves in a blender and pulse a bit to chop.
  2. Add basil, walnuts, olive oil, nutritional yeast, lemon juice salt and pepper and blend. It should still have some texture and not be completely smooth.
  3. Serve over pasta!
